Summary:

This position will perform daily activities associated with shipping and receiving products, supplies, inventory, and other materials moving in, out, and through the plant along with contributing to achieve plant goals and objectives by following procedures, work instructions and ensuring accurate documentation. This position reports directly to the Shipping Lead.

Essential Functions:

  • Pull orders and ensure correct product is shipped to customers.
  • Receive freight and ensure it is documented accurately.
  • Maintain the warehouse, rotate stock, and organize pallets and scrap efficiently using available space.
  • Assist in month-end inventory.
  • Ensure accurate receipt of parcel deliveries and forward those to appropriate parties.
  • Load and unload trucks and scrap trailers.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties, including sweeping warehouse and loading area.
  • Assist with packaging and purchasing functions as needed.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Reading and writing ability to complete necessary work.
  • Computer skills for entering data into information systems and printing necessary labels.
  • Strong, positive communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Be able to perform necessary math for estimating truck capacity.
  • Read and measure with a tape ruler.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulating using both hands.
  • Bending, squatting and reaching above shoulder level.

Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated adherence to safe work practices and proper use of PPE required in various areas of the plant.
  • Ability to keep tools, shop, office, and other work areas clean and organized.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, training rooms, and labs.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and generally maintain floors, steps and other similar surfaces, using a variety of tools, including floor sweepers and scrubbers.
  • Empty waste containers, and pick up and dispose of interior/exterior trash, litter, recycling and other similar debris throughout the facility.
  • Sweep entrances, steps, lobby, stairwells, loading docks, elevators and parking lots.
  • Maintain external areas around the building, including trash pickup, sidewalk upkeep, etc.
  • Clean, wash, polish, and maintain windows, doors, mirrors, walls, and other similar glass, metal, and wood surfaces.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, steps, using snow shovels, or spread snow melting salt.
  • Proper/Safe operation of trash compactor.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong, positive communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

IT Business Analyst – Operations- Milton, WI                      

Charter NEX Films is now hiring an IT Business Analyst for the Milton plant. The Primary purpose of this position is working with IT’s internal business customers (i.e. those primarily focused on plant operations), IT department colleagues and partners; evaluate CNEX’s business processes and supporting systems, anticipating requirements, uncovering improvement opportunities and developing, then implementing rectifying solutions. This position will report to the IT Operations & Development Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with the business to identify/define/prioritize business problems with existing business processes and supporting systems/programs or initiate designs of new applications.
  • Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
  • Ensures customer acceptance by soliciting their involvement on requirement definition, designs, testing and deployment.
  • Maintains contact/communications with end-customers to ensure systems continually meet or exceed the customers’ expectations.
  • Performs analysis and design for operations centric business processes, data and supporting applications. Identify probable impacts on related processes, data and business systems.
  • Prepares statements of work, business cases, design/testing/training/support documentation (per approved SDLC methodology) for development and deployment of custom and/or package applications.
  • Follows and acts as a leader for the department development methodology.
  • Works with technical resources to develop and test application; determines and resolves data errors/problems; and coordinates work/signoff with business users.
  • Prepares and presents project deliverables to the appropriate management for project review throughout the development life cycle.
  • Orients user personnel to new or changed procedures. May demonstrate project prototypes/demos to relevant consumers/researchers/third parties.
  • Review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel, etc. Recommends course of action.
  • Supports existing software which may require 24 hour/day 7 day/week coverage.

Skills and Specifications

  • Written and oral communication skills enabling the ability to convey needs, requirements, and solutions to different stakeholders
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and supporting systems (e.g. shop floor operations, inventory management, warehousing (in/out), logistics, etc.). Flexible packaging industry experience a plus.  APICS certification a plus.
  • Experience leading both custom and package system development and implementation efforts.   PMI certification a plus.
  • Possess VB.net/SQL technical knowledge is a plus
  • Customer oriented with a passion for addressing IT’s customers’ needs.  Understands that IT succeeds only if IT’s customers succeed.

Requirements

  • Degree in information management/technology or engineering degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years experience developing/implementing/maintaining business applications.
  • Ability to travel 20% of time to support job responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements:

Maintenance Utility Technician-Milton, WI                            

Reporting Relationship: Maintenance Lead

Schedule: 8 hour day shift; M-F

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fulfill all duties and demonstrate marked, continuous growth in all qualities outlined in the Maintenance Department General Evaluation Criteria document
  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated adherence to safe work practices and proper use of PPE required in various areas of the plant
  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to complete lock-out/tag-out/try-out procedures for all sources of energy on all equipment.  Demonstrated proper use of the hot work permit and fire protection red tag system
  • Ability to properly utilize email, CMMS, and shared-access work lists to effectively communicate equipment issues or concerns, progress on work to remedy issues, and requests for parts or additional support.  Demonstrate proper methods of completing check-sheets for preventive maintenance procedures on equipment you are responsible for
  • Ability to keep tools, shop, office, and other work areas clean and organized.
  • Change air filters on extrusion and support equipment electrical cabinets and on plant and office HVAC equipment
  • Change 120VAC light bulbs & ballasts in production and office areas
  • General cleaning on extrusion and support equipment and around the plant; operate steam cleaner safely and efficiently
  • Clean resin pump filters and rail car unloader dust collectors
  • Complete safety inspections on fire extinguishers, exit/egress signs and lights, ladders, hoists, etc.
  • Inspect resin handling piping, flexible tubing, wands, and various connections for damage and complete basic repairs
  • Inspect and clean chilled water system filters; maintain appropriate chill water chemical concentrations
  • Inspect and clean central vacuum system waste collection bin
  • Clean surge bin vacuum hopper screens, verify operation of proximity sensors
  • Empty hoppers on dust collectors, purge systems, and verify correct operation
  • Clean dust collector filters
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manual pallet jacks
  • Maintain batteries on all material handling equipment
  • Inspect and perform mechanical preventative maintenance on core cutters, stretch wrappers, roll tippers, hoists, and manual packaging tools
  • Monitor and document plant compressed air and chilled water pressures, temperatures, and overall system conditions
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways, doors, and steps as needed throughout the property.
  • Assist with production equipment preventive maintenance as needed

  • Self-starter, able to work alone or assist in a team as needed
  • Conditions may include working at height (silos and roof), hot or cold environments for extended periods of time
