Customer Engagement Manager- Milton or Superior, WI

The Manager of Customer Engagement at Charter NEX Films is responsible for the design and execution of the optimal customer experience. This includes creating a great work environment for our experienced service team, owning daily customer service activities, collaborating with demand planning and operations to execute orders & resolve issues, measuring & monitoring customer service and customer satisfaction, and leading continuous improvement activities to turn any irritants or dissatisfiers into delighters.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage, inspire and coach a team of 10 experienced customer service professionals across 4-5 manufacturing locations
  • Recruit, hire, train and retain customer service team members as we grow organically and through acquisitions
  • Develop best practices and standard work in call management, order entry, customer communication, and issue resolution with the team, including proper backups for team members out of the office
  • Create and maintain service metrics and service reporting for management visibility to backlogs, lead times, on time shipments and on time delivery
  • Collaborate with demand planning and operations to ensure accurate order acknowledgement and performance against customer commitments
  • Lead the annual customer satisfaction survey effort to understand strengths and improvement opportunities; collaborate with peers cross-functionally to address gaps and elevate the customer experience at every touch

Location

This position will be based in Superior, Wisconsin (close to Duluth, MN) or Milton, Wisconsin (close to Janesville). The Milton headquarters for Charter NEX Films is 1 hour & 15 minutes away from Milwaukee and 40 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin.  The Superior plant is 20 minutes from the Duluth, MN Airport.

The Director, Customer Engagement will report to the Chief Commercial Officer for Charter NEX Films and sit on the Commercial Lead Team.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

The shifts run from 7am-7pm and 7pm – 7am. Every 4 weeks, employees flop shifts going from nights to days or vice versa. This allows employees to get full training and experience while having a 3 day weekend every other week.

Employee Responsibilities:

An employee in this entry level class is responsible for the efficient operation of extrusion equipment to produce high quality polyethylene film. Systems Engineer – Milton, WI

Charter NEX Films is now hiring for a Systems Engineer in our Milton Plant! Charter NEX Films is the leading independent manufacturer of high performance plastic films. Our films are ideal for markets including: food/beverage, health care, customer goods, pet food, and surface protection.

Employee Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for collaborating with our Senior Systems Engineer to install and maintain the server and network infrastructure at all of our company locations. They will also be responsible for monitoring the network firewalls, leading our Cybersecurity awareness program and assisting our support desk manager when needed.  This position will be working out of the Milton plant and will report to the IT Operations Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in maintaining and supporting the security, availability, and performance of the network systems that include routers, firewalls, switches, circuits, servers and execution of network projects at the direction of the Senior Systems Engineer.
  • Design, test, implement and monitor security measures for IT systems.
  • Train users, promote security awareness, develop policies and procedures, and provide updates and reports to senior IT staff.
  • Respond to network connectivity issues and resolve any communications issues between company locations.
  • Configure and test hardware infrastructure and deploy as needed.
  • Assist the Support Desk Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5 + years of practical Systems Engineering experience and a Degree in Computer Science or related industry or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong understanding of data security and system integrity is required.
  • In-Depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and Hyper-V.
  • Expertise with firewalls/VPN’s (Fortigate), switch configuration (Avaya/Cisco) and Ruckus wireless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security, switching, and routing technologies (MPLS, EPL, SSL/IPSEC VPN,OSPF,NAT,VLANs).
  • Hands-On experience with network monitoring and threat management tools and TCP/IP, Packet/traffic analysis.

Marketing Intern – Milton, WI

Charter NEX is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to assist the Marketing team in the design and development of marketing collateral. He/she be responsible for editing and creating flyers, product guides, tradeshow displays, magazine ads, etc., as well as developing graphic and visual images. This position will report to the Market Analyst.

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing, Sales and Technical to create flyers, product guides, internal promotions and other marketing materials.
  • Update existing marketing collateral.
  • Develop graphics and visual images for product illustrations, logos and websites.
  • Resize company ads to meet print specifications.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with changes to PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college program, majoring or minoring in Graphic Design, Graphic Communication or Marketing.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Able to demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Able to work around 15 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work during the school year and during the summer

Operator Openings – Bloomer, WI

Charter NEX – Bloomer, WI (formerly Bloomer Plastics, Inc.) a progressive and growing manufacturer of plastic films, is accepting applications for our manufacturing department.   • Recognizing and troubleshooting visual defects in the film being produced.
  • Conducting and documenting routine inspections on a variety of production related components.
  • Utilizing sound judgment in reducing and eliminating production of scrap material.
