MILTON, WI – May 2014 – A groundbreaking was held for the $2 million expansion in May. The expansion will almost double the size of the facility, allowing for 4-5 extrusion lines and warehouse space. The project is slated for completion in the Fall of 2014.

“This expansion reinforces our commitment to provide our customers with unparalleled quality, service and technical support through our continued investment in state of the art facilities and equipment,” says Kathy Bolhous, Chief Executive Officer.

This is the second major improvement at the Milton facility in the last 12 months. In 2013 two new Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) 3-layer blown film lines were installed at the location. “The two new W&H lines added in our Milton plant provide increased flexibility and needed capacity while maintaining our ability to supply the highest quality, best performing, and most consistent film in the industry,” said Chris Trapp, President and Chief Operating Officer. “The superiority of W&H extrusion has allowed our company to provide unsurpassed quality to our customers and has been a significant contributor to our successful growth.”

This is one of several additions and upgrades Charter NEX is planning throughout the company as it continues to enhance their expertise in high-performance blown film manufacturing. With these investments, Charter NEX Films will be able to respond to the continual growing customer demand.

Charter NEX Films manufactures coextruded, barrier, and monolayer blown films for a wide variety of high-performance packaging applications from their manufacturing facilities in Milton, Rhinelander, and Superior, Wisconsin and Turners Falls, Massachusetts.
